Cole R. Geyen is an associate who handles a variety of complex commercial disputes involving primary and excess insurers and reinsurers across commercial general liability, professional liability and cyber liability product lines. Cole serves on the firm’s Opioid Coverage Task Force and the Social Media Addiction Team. Cole plays a key role in the Firm’s PFAS team, representing matters related to national and international exposures from this multi-billion-dollar topic. Cole also advises insurers on claims challenges stemming from privacy claims and cyber events.
Cole received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago. In his first year of law school, Cole started as a law clerk at BatesCarey, where he learned the intricacies of Commercial General Liability coverage and assisted in monitoring litigation and related coverage issues stemming from policyholders’ data collection practices. Cole earned his B.S. in Finance and studied Actuarial Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
