Doris Cikopana is an associate whose practice focuses on advising and representing domestic and international insurers and reinsurers in coverage disputes. Doris provides comprehensive coverage analysis involving complex underlying cases and coverage issues involving management liability, commercial general liability, professional liability, and managed care policies. Doris has extensive experience handling claims arising under privacy laws and regulations, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (“BIPA”) and the Illinois Genetic Information Privacy Act (“GIPA”).
Doris attended Loyola University Chicago Law School, where she served as the Executive Editor for Research and Marketing for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. Additionally, during her time at Loyola, Doris participated in the Health Justice Project clinic where she represented several clients in relation to public benefits and immigration matters. Doris earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Portuguese and International Studies at Emory University, graduating summa cum laude.
Prior to joining BatesCarey, Doris worked as a summer associate at a large hospital system.
