BatesCarey Deepens Insurance Coverage Strength with Joshua Boggioni and Colleen Sorensen
BatesCarey announced today that Joshua Boggioni and Colleen Sorensen have joined the firm as partners.
BatesCarey has solidified its position as one of the nation’s deepest insurance coverage teams, welcoming seven associates and special counsel, as well as two partners, in the final quarter of 2022. The firm boasts nearly 70 attorneys dedicated solely to insurance matters and international insurance clients.

Joshua Boggioni represents domestic and foreign insurers in connection with complex coverage litigation, claims analysis and claims resolution. He has represented insurers at the pre-trial, trial and appellate stages in a broad range of coverage matters before state and federal courts, including disputes arising out of environmental contamination, products liability, toxic and mass tort liability, as well as handling bad faith claims. He has also advised underwriting professionals in connection with the drafting of manuscript policy forms.
Colleen Sorensen is a skilled litigator with substantial experience in resolving insurance coverage disputes. She represents insurance companies in coverage litigation in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate court levels. Colleen also regularly advises companies regarding coverage outside the litigation context. She has authored a broad range of coverage opinions, analyzing coverage for claims under commercial general liability (occurrence-based and claims-made), excess and umbrella liability, product liability, pollution legal liability and Bermuda forms.
