New hires Partner Matthew P. Fortin and Associate Paula K. Villela alongside BatesCarey Hiring Partner David M. Alt shared insights into the hiring process during the pandemic in the Chicago Lawyer Magazine article “Screened: Interviews move to webcam.”

The trio shared their experiences as interviewer and interviewee for the first time via Zoom.

Central to the hiring process was BatesCarey’s drive to hire individuals that match the firm’s culture, this required extra coordination in a virtual setting but was achieved through thoughtful coordination of each Zoom interview.
