BatesCarey Expands Roster with the Addition of Seven Attorneys
BatesCarey is proud to announce the expansion of its roster with seven new attorneys, including one special counsel, three associates and three newly minted associates who were sworn in as lawyers in November. These additions bolster the firm’s strong bench of litigation and claims counseling services at every level.
Milad Emam joins the firm as special counsel with extensive experience in coverage disputes involving primary and excess D&O, E&O and EPL policies as well as those relating to securities claims, matters involving employee lawsuits, professional malpractice claims and bankruptcy. Before joining the firm, Milad worked as a civil rights litigator at a national public-interest law firm, serving as lead counsel in multiple federal First Amendment cases. He received his J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law.
As an associate, Jordyn A. Kass concentrates her practice in commercial general liability and professional liability matters. She graduated from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and previously served as a judicial law clerk in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Jordyn is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association and Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
Joining the firm as an associate, Ariane V. Monaco advises insurance carriers on numerous cyber risk, technology and data security matters. She also handles complex claims and disputes arising under commercial general liability and professional liability insurance policies. After graduating with her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Ariane gained experience in handling state and local alcohol licensing application matters for hospitality businesses, and she has handled transactional matters in state-wide tax compliance, license filings, permitting and renewals and brand registrations.
Associate Bradley E. Puklin has deep experience representing insurers in complex legal malpractice, medical negligence, product liability and general liability coverage matters. He has served as first chair litigation counsel in several jury trials, handled both state and federal appeals and argued before the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Brad received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Chicago-Kent School of Law.
The firm also congratulates new associates Samuel J. Head, Viridiana Marcial and Gabriela D. Wojdyla on being sworn in as lawyers in November.
