David Alt and Kristi Nolley Included on Crain’s 2021 Notable Gen X Leaders in Law List
David Alt and Kristi Nolley were recently named to the Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Gen X Leaders in Law list for their exceptional career achievements in insurance law and contributions to the legal community.
This honor is reserved for those professionals in Chicagoland born between 1965 and 1980 that serve in senior leadership roles at their respective firms. Those named to the Notable Gen X Leaders Law list demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion efforts within their firms and in the greater community through mentorship, charitable advocacy and more.
David represents clients in high profile cases involving insurance, railroads, financial services, construction, professional liability and premises and products liability. With his litigation experience in more than 25 states, he has been a key factor in transforming BatesCarey from a location-centric practice to a nationwide powerhouse. Furthermore, as the firm’s hiring partner and the chair of the associate committee, David is dedicated to selecting attorneys that will create a more diverse workplace and mentoring them to ensure they feel supported and able to succeed in their roles.
In her practice, Kristi serves as coverage and litigation counsel to domestic and international insurers in matters of general liability and professional liability coverage and is called upon for clients’ most complex insurance claim issues. As the first-ever female member of the firm’s Management Committee, Kristi has a personal understanding of how important a workplace environment where people of all backgrounds and identities feel comfortable and accepted is to their professional growth. She leads BatesCarey’s Tea Talk initiative, in which attorneys and clients gather to discuss current trends and topics centered around workplace inclusivity and diversity.
