Four BatesCarey Attorneys Elevated to Partnership and Special Counsel

BatesCarey is proud to announce that Milad Emam and Emily Tripicchio have been elected as Partners, while Paige Houin and Natalie Koepke have been elevated to Special Counsel.

Milad focuses his practice on advising and representing insurance carriers in complex disputes, such as those involving professional liability claims. He regularly provides comprehensive coverage analysis to his clients in coverage disputes involving primary and excess D&O, E&O and EPL policies. His experience includes coverage disputes relating to securities claims, as well as matters involving employee lawsuits, professional malpractice claims and bankruptcy.

Emily counsels and represents domestic and international insurers nationwide in insurance coverage disputes. Her experience spans various types of insurance, such as primary and excess professional liability, management liability, commercial general liability, commercial transportation and property and personal lines. Emily has litigated coverage issues from inception to judgment involving derivative actions, securities class action lawsuits and employment-related litigation.

Paige advises foreign and domestic primary and excess insurance carriers on a variety of complex disputes involving commercial general liability, environmental liability, cyber liability and professional liability matters. She is also an integral member of the firm’s Opioid Coverage Task Force, which monitors, analyzes and litigates cutting-edge insurance coverage issues relating to opioid lawsuits filed against pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors and retail pharmacies, and a member of the firm’s PFAS team, where she has developed an expertise in advising clients on the management and evaluation of this emerging risk.

Natalie concentrates her practice on counseling insurers on insurance law and coverage litigation. She advises clients on complex matters, including the duty to defend, rescission, bad faith exposure and recoupment of defense costs. Natalie represents clients through all phases of litigation and has served as monitoring and appellate counsel to insured parties to analyze appellate prospects and limit exposure.
