Robert J. Bates, Jr. and Adam H. Fleischer were again selected to Who’s Who Legal’s Insurance & Reinsurance list of 2023 leading attorneys. Bob and Adam are among only 46 Illinois lawyers to receive recognition in this category by Who’s Who Legal.

In addition, Bob was recognized as a USA Thought Leader. Only 106 Insurance and Reinsurance attorneys in the U.S. earned this prestigious honor, and Bob was one of only 17 Illinois-based attorneys to achieve this distinction. 

Only a small group of top insurance and reinsurance attorneys around the world receive recognition for these prestigious awards from Who’s Who Legal, an independent, London-based publishing group. The distinction is earned through the nominations of peers, clients and industry sources. 

Bob is widely known as one of the nation’s leading insurance and reinsurance lawyers. In addition to his Who’s Who Legal awards, he has received numerous industry and peer recognitions — including coveted rankings from Chambers — for his representation of national and international insurance companies in direct insurance coverage and reinsurance disputes.

This news follows Bob’s selection as a Who’s Who Legal Global Elite Thought Leader for the seventh consecutive year. Bob is one of only nine attorneys in the United States to receive this honor for Insurance & Reinsurance, and one of only four reinsurance attorneys to make the list.

Adam is renowned as one of the country’s top insurance coverage attorneys for his leading work in the areas of COVID-19 litigation, opioid litigation and sexual molestation coverage. He has been honored as a “Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal as well as a Gen X Notable Leader in the Law and a Notable Litigator and Trial Attorney by Crain’s Chicago Business. He is regularly recognized by Chambers for his insurance coverage practice.
