Cate DeMetrovich handles a variety of complex coverage disputes, including management and professional liability, healthcare, casualty and first-party property claims.
Cate received her Juris Doctor from Indiana University’s Maurer School of Law where she served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Indiana Law Journal. Cate is an accomplished moot court competitor, team captain and board member, being named a Top 10 Regional Oralist during one of her competitions. She graduated with her B.S. in Business Administration from Drury University, graduating summa cum laude.
Since graduating, Cate studied at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge, researching underrepresented communities' applications of law related to the use of force and armed conflict in cyberspace. Before joining BatesCarey, Cate served as an associate at a business litigation firm practicing in insurance defense, medical malpractice and products liability matters.
