Stacey Murray is an associate whose practice concentrates on assisting insurers in solving intricate claims and analyses relating to the most difficult insurance challenges facing the industry. Stacey’s work includes complex coverage assignments relating to wrongful death claims arising from construction projects, litigating the issue of insurance “trigger” for malicious prosecution matters and the many issues tied to vehicle roll-over suits involving billion-dollar verdicts.
Stacey earned her Juris Doctor with distinction from The University of Iowa’s College of Law and was awarded the Boyd Service Award with the Highest Honors. During law school, Stacey served as Editor-in-Chief at the Journal of Corporation Law, a highly regarded corporate law journal. Stacey graduated with her B.A. in journalism and mass communication from the University of Iowa and served as Editor-in-Chief at the Daily Iowan.
Before joining BatesCarey, Stacey developed communication strategies as an account executive for an international strategic communications firm. She then served as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa and later as a term clerk for two federal judges.
